Detailed Vehicle Service Plans

A vehicle service is paramount to the longevity of your vehicle. Servicing at regular intervals ensures that vehicle is running efficiently and economically. Service usually includes a variety of checks to ensure the vehicle is deemed roadworthy. Service also includes the basic oil and oil filter change. Our different service options will help you select the right service for your vehicle and give you a detailed checklist of what each option includes.

  • Oil and Filter change*
  • Check for excessive oil leaks
  • Check condition and security of under tray
  • Check radiator condition
  • Check coolant hoses for leaks, condition and security
  • Check condition and tension of fan or alternator belt, adjust and report on condition
  • Replace air filter*
  • Replace spark plugs* (petrol engines only)
  • Drain out cooling system and replace coolant
  • Check and record antifreeze strength and minimum temp. and top up coolant as required
  • Check fuel cap seal condition
  • Check visual condition of fuel lines
  • Replace fuel filter* (excl. internal and LFT filters)
  • Check for correct clutch
  • Check correct operation of gearbox
  • Check and top up clutch fluid where applicable
  • Check drive shaft gaiters for security and report leaks
  • Grease prop/shaft if applicable
  • Check and top up transaxle oil if applicable
  • Top up gearbox fluid where applicable and not sealed
  • Check operation of exterior lights
  • Check horn
  • Check battery security, condition and lubricate terminals
  • Check dashboard warning lights
  • Visual inspection of ignition leads
  • Test effectiveness of starter motor
  • Test alternator charging rate and security
  • Check and top up power steering fluid where applicable
  • Check steering and suspension components for wear and tear
  • Check condition of steering rack gaiters
  • Check wheel bearings for excessive play and roughness
  • Carry out shock absorber bounce test
  • Inspect exhaust system for leaks, security and noise
  • Visual check for exhaust smoke
  • Check brake pads for wear or damage
  • Check brake calipers for leaks and security
  • Check service brake shoes for wear or damage (clean and adjust if required), excludes internal handbrake shoes
  • Inspect operation of wheel cylinders and report of any leaks
  • Visually check brake hydraulic system, pipes and hoses for any leaks, chafing and corrosion
  • Check security of handbrake linkages and travel. Lubricate and adjust if required
  • Check brake discs and drums for wear, cracks, corrosion, scoring or pitting (excl. internal drums)
  • Check brake fluid level and top up if required
  • Carry out brake fluid boil test and record readings
  • Replace brake fluid and bleed system
  • Check tyre size and whether tyre is fitted to side wall instructions
  • Check tyre condition and tread depth
  • Check and adjust tyre pressures
  • Set wheel nut torque to manufacturer’s settings
  • Check windscreen wiper condition and operation
  • Check rear wiper condition and operation (if fitted)
  • Check windscreen washer operation, align jets and top up if required
  • Check windscreen for chips and cracks
  • Check mirror condition (interior and exterior)
  • Check number plate condition
  • Replace cabin filter*
  • Check seatbelts – front and rear including lap belt
  • Check operation of all external door locks
  • Lubricate accessible door hinges (with white grease)
  • Lubricate bonnet catch
  • Reset vehicle service light where applicable (subject to data and tooling availability)
  • Conduct a road test (subject to road worthiness)
